Michael Amendola MD MEHP FSVS FACS
Dr. Michael Amendola received his medical degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. He holds the academic rank of Professor of Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and residency at Virginia Commonwealth Univeristy Health System (VCUHS) in 2007. He is a fellow of the Society of Vascular Surgery and The American College of Surgeons. He also completed a Vascular Surgery fellowship at VCUHS in 2009. Dr. Amendola is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in both general and vascular surgery. He maintains privileges at Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia and is Professor of Surgery at VCU School of Medicine. He completed his Master’s Degree in Medical Education at John Hopkins School of Education in Baltimore, Maryland. His interest focus on vascular disease, hemodialysis access, undergraduate and graduate medical education and implications of surgical simulation in the current health care environment.
Daniel Newton MD
Dr. Daniel Newton received his medical degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (VCU-SOM) in Richmond, Virginia. He holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor of Surgery at VCU-SOM. He completed his general surgery internship and residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System (VCUHS) in 2017. He completed a Vascular Surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2019. Dr. Newton is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and maintains privileges at VCUHS. His interest focus on complex aortic aneurysm disease, undergraduate and graduate medical education and critical limb ischemia.
Kedar Lavingia MD
Dr. Kedar Lavingia received his medical degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (VCU-SOM) in Richmond, Virginia. He holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor of Surgery at VCU-SOM. He completed his general surgery internship and residency at Eastern Virginia School of Medicine in 2017. He completed a Vascular Surgery fellowship at Stanford University in 2019. Dr. Lavingia is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and maintains privileges at Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Medical Center and Virginia Commonwealth University Health System. His interest focus on complex aortic aneurysm disease, undergraduate and graduate medical education and hemodialysis access interventions.
