Gi-Ann Acosta / Founder / 2015-2016 President
Ms. Acosta founded the VSIG at VCU after graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor's of Science in Physiology and Neurobiology. She has worked at various vascular access centers as a medical assistant and scrub technician. Gi-Ann will graduate from the VCU School of Medicine in May 2020 after pursuing research interests to begin her Integrated Vascular residency.
Kaila Redifer MD / Co-Founder / 2015-2016 Co-President
Ms. Redifer graduated from Virginia Tech in 2013 with a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she worked at a vascular and general surgery practice as a medical assistant. She obtained her MD in 2017 from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (VCU-SOM).
Daniel Newton MD / Co-Founder
VCU Medicine 2012, VCU General Surgery Residency 2017.
Dan completed his vascular fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and is currently an attending in the VCU Division of Vascular Surgery.
Grayson Pitcher MD / Co-Founder
VCU Medicine 2015.
Grayson is currently enrolled in vascular residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnisota.
